Insert, copy, and deliver
Open the floating palette with your global hotkey (or Open Phrase Palette). Search or browse, select a phrase, then choose a delivery shortcut.
Palette delivery shortcuts
Section titled “Palette delivery shortcuts”With a phrase selected:

You can also use the row menu Add to Queue. The queue clears when the palette closes or after a successful queue deliver. Script and URL phrases cannot be mixed into a queue deliver.
Arrow keys move selection. Space opens an immediate preview of the selected phrase. Escape clears preview or search, or closes the palette.
Optional hover preview is off by default. When Settings → Palette → Show phrase preview on hover is on, resting on a row for about 1.25 seconds opens the same preview (row highlight appears immediately; the popover waits so you can scan the list).
Layouts that change how delivery feels
Section titled “Layouts that change how delivery feels”Under Settings → Palette → Layout:
- Full — calm browse with optional snippets
- Compact — denser titles
- Minimal / Minimal Dynamic — search-first; expand when you browse or hover
Template phrases that need values show inline fields when there is room. In a collapsed Minimal shell, a completion sheet still appears. Empty required fields block delivery until filled.
Paste methods and fallbacks
Section titled “Paste methods and fallbacks”Settings → Paste controls how Insert Text reaches the destination app:
- Prefer standard paste when you want the most compatible path.
- Direct insert when possible can be faster in some apps and falls back to paste when it cannot complete safely.
- If Accessibility is missing, Astramar explains clipboard-only behavior instead of failing silently.
- Apps on your Excluded Apps list stay clipboard-only even when Accessibility is granted.

Detached folder palettes
Section titled “Detached folder palettes”From a folder in the library, choose Open Detached Palette (or the folder context menu) for a pinned, folder-focused palette. Favorites and Recent remain visible. Up to two detached palettes can be open; Escape closes the focused one.
